Previously, I posted that Chanel designer, Karl Lagerfeld would star in ads for Volkswagen. Since my hometown is all about VW these day (with a sprinkling of Amazon), I thought this may be of interest to some Chattanoogans.
The ad is available on YouTube, but it is in German. Since I took Spanish in high school and college, I have no idea what Lagerfeld is saying. Thus, it’s difficult to gauge whether this is a) cool b) cheesy or c) bizarre.
German speaking friends, any help with the translation?

P.S. I-40 S is really strange now that Volkswagen Drive is open. The interstate has been under construction since I started college in 2000. I didn’t know where I was in relation to Bonny Oaks without the orange and white construction barrels to greet me.
P.P.S. For folks outside of the Chattanooga viewing region, Volkswagen is scheduled to open their first U.S. plant in the Scenic City in January. It’s been a huge, huge deal for the area, and many people have gone a little VW crazy.
