What to Do With CPAC Swag

Posted By on February 16, 2011 in Pop Culture | 1 comment

When I’m watching TV, it’s hard for me to sit still. I need to be blogging, writing, cooking or doing something.

Right now, I’m watching the devastating documentary, Waiting for Superman.

What to do?

I know! Make re-usable bags out of extra t-shirts!

A few weeks ago, I ran across this adorable idea of making bags out of t-shirts. Since I have a bit of a t-shirt problem (working in politics does that), I have an entire dresser devoted to them. (Seriously, I do.)

Last week, I picked up two extra tshirts at CPAC. Remember the nerdy FreedomConnector shirt? …Probably not going to wear it. The back has CPAC booth numbers on it, so it would be weird.

The other tshirt said, Don’t blame me, I voted for Palin from Townhall.com. When I stopped by the booth, all they had left were extra larges. Since my only option would be to use it as sleepshirt, how could I use it to annoy the obnoxious liberals in my ultra gentrified neighborhood?

Thus, the t-shirt bags were perfect!

I followed the directions over at do stuff!, and the activity was incredibly easy. The FreedomWorks shirt was a medium and seems to work better.

Since I made these tonight, I haven’t tested them out at the grocery store, but I’m excited to use them. The Palin t-shirt will become my official Farmer’s Market bag!

Annoying liberals and recycling at the same time. This warms my cold, crunchy heart.

“cold crunchy heart” may be my new favorite phrase! I’m always looking for a way to let people know that that I’m as conservative as they come…even if I do believe in cloth diapering, bento style lunches, and using washable cleaning clothes, etc. You’re not the only cold crunchy heart! :)
